Mars One is a non-profit organization based in the Netherlands that has put forward conceptual plans to establish a permanent human colony on Mars by 2025.  Crews of four will depart every two years, starting in 2024. The first unmanned mission will be launched in 2018.

 

In an effort to join the Global Mars One Community, the minds behind Cafe Scientifique and SciFest Dubai are organising Mars One Dubai. The aim is to spread awareness of this mission to Mars and highlight the importance of humans colonizing space.
